Known around the world as one of the most beautiful cities, Paris has enough tourist destinations and popular sites to keep you busy for years! Beyond the Eiffel Tower, or the Champs-Élysées, there is still mystery in this centuries old city. In order to make your visit to the city of romance more unique, here is a list of five mind-blowing secret spots you HAVE to see in Paris!

Les Passages Couverts de Paris

Walking through the streets of Paris you may find yourself suddenly indoors! Les Passages Couverts de Paris cover tea rooms, restaurants, as well as shops filled with all sorts of different products. No matter if you’re getting ready to move to France, or simply visiting on holiday, the Passage Couverts bring a little charm into your Parisian visit. Though they were built in the 19th century, these archways still make walking the streets a Paris a glimpse into magic. 

Passge des Princes

One of the oldest passages will lead you to the Théâtre de Variétés, a theater founded in 1802 and still going strong today (Passage de Panoramas)! While Passage Brady will take you through Little India, where you can find many Indian restaurants, shops, and so much more.

All and all, each of the Passage Couverts uncover a small part of Paris! So take a look at some Hotels in Paris near the Passages, or find some shops to visit as you stroll around. Discover them all by walking under these beautiful awnings. 

Parc de la Villette

The largest urban cultural park in the city, the Parc de la Villette is an incredible 136 acres (55 hectares)! Not only are there architectural wonders, as well as cultural locations, but there are also playgrounds and even an open-air cinema!

Rue Crémieux

You’ve discovered online flight tickets to save you money, and now you’re looking for cute, cheap ways to see a few hidden gems in Paris. Rue Crémieux is a colorful piece of the Parisian narrative that will give you a look into the charm and personality of this vibrant city. This small cobbled backstreet used to remain a secret, but because the bright colors and interesting perspective makes it an Instagram magnet, it’s becoming quite popular!

 

 

The Stunning Views of Le Printemps Department Store

Le Printemps is known for its upscale shoppers and has been an integral part of the Parisian economy since 1865! This busy store isn’t quite a hidden gem, however, the gorgeous terrace at the rooftop and Views from the Men’s Building are! 

Here is how you get to the fabulous views at Le Printemps: 

  • Shop around Le Printemps until you find yourself a little hungry. 
  • Take an elevator to the 7th and 8th floors of the men’s building. 
  • Here you will find eateries and terrace tables.  
  • You can see some of Paris’ most famous attractions while you eat.
  • Go outside and see an incredible panoramic view of Paris!

From this secret spot in Paris you can see Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, as well as Palais Garnier! It’s almost as if you have your own personal insider’s guide to Paris, as you’ll be able to get once in a lifetime pictures from this rooftop hideaway. There is also a Terrace that is quite well-known as well, but the Café closed for renovations and hasn’t opened in nearly two years! Check before you visit if it is reopened.

Rue Mouffetard in the Latin Quarter

If you’re looking to find some of the best street vendors and a charming Parisian Market, then Rue Mouffetard is the local favorite for you. Here you will walk a cobblestone street to find delicious restaurants, fresh fruits and veggies, unforgettable wine shops, as well as life changing bakeries. This is truly a secret spot to really enjoy some of the best local food in Paris!
