About Me

Brendan Ryan has lived full time in Costa Rica for nearly 12 years and has worked the entire time in real estate, construction and land development. He has also owned and operated several other small businesses in Costa Rica during that time. Brendan graduated from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina with a BA in History, and from Stony Brook University in New York with a MA in Teaching Social Studies. Brendan is a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain, and is currently studying Business Administration at the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica. Brendan enjoys acting in community theater and outdoor activities.”     

Patrick Schmidt brings energetic enthusiasm to Rich Coast Realty’s Guanacaste portfolio, Costa Rica’s beloved majestic northern pacific coast. Originally hailing from Central New Jersey, Patrick studied journalism at the University or Maryland, as well as hospitality management & culinary arts at Manhattan’s famed Art Institute of New York City. He worked for many years in the NYC hospitality industry including owning and operating his own bar/restaurant establishments, before settling here as a full time resident in beautiful Costa Rica. Patrick currently resides in the beachfront town of Playas del Coco, and in 2016 completed accreditation with Costa Rica’s official Real Estate Association (La Camara Costarricense de Corredores de Bienes Raices). In addition to property and land negotiations, Patrick also offers full service property management assistance in the coastal Guanacaste area.”
