Can’t-Miss Destinations When Planning a Family Trip (part 1)

In this amazing world, you can find hundreds of famous travel destinations, but when it comes to planning a family vacation, you need to choose the destination carefully. That’s because while traveling with the entire family, your destination must consist of a mix of accessibility, indoor as well as outdoor activities, and some “wow” factors that are adequate enough to fascinate you and your family. Here, we bring you fifteen such destinations for enjoying a complete family vacation. Here are my Can’t-Miss destinations when planning a family trip.

Dubai, UAE

Dubai is one of the most sought after family travel destinations in the Middle East. It’s a place where you can enjoy the shining sun, blue sky, and the beaches covered with soft white sands. Amazing water parks, camel trekking, indoor skiing, and exploring the ancient town are just a few activities that you can enjoy together with the entire family. Children’s City, situated at Dubai Creek Park, offers interactive activities on space, nature, culture, science, etc. that are sure to make your little ones spellbound. Wild Wadi, Ski Dubai, Splashland, Wonderland, double-decker buses, Creekside Park, Hajar Mountains, and hot air balloon rides are some of the other places and activities that you can enjoy with your family. If your kids love water, you can head straight to Jumeirah Beach or Al Mamzar Beach. Dubai boasts some of the world’s must-see attractions like Burj Khalifa, Dubai Museum, Bastakiya, Jumeirah Mosque, and Dubai Aquarium that you shouldn’t miss anyway. However, you need to consider some don’ts while travelling to Dubai. For one, females can’t wear swimwear in public locations. You shouldn’t consider Sunday as a weekend since Friday and Saturday are weekends here.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket is a place where the kids can always find some engaging activities, whether it’s shining or raining. It boasts of a number of places and activities to keep your entire family engaged. Some of the destinations that you must visit during your vacation are Phang Nga Bay where you can see limestone cliffs rising out of emerald-green waters, and Old Phuket Town to see Sino-Portuguese splendors together with funky shops.

You can plan a Big Buddha trip where you will get to experience the real Thailand en route your destination. If your children love beaches, you must visit Phi Phi Island to enjoy sheer cliffs rising overhead and beach-front jungle. If the kids enjoy seeing action sports, take them to watch Muay Thai at Saphan Hin Stadium or Patong Beach.

Some other things that can be enjoyed together with the family are visiting Phuket FantaSea, Phuket Trickeye Museum, Surf House Phuket, Phuket Aquarium, and Splash Jungle Water Park. Your little ones can also indulge in learning cable ski, take part in Phuket Tree Adventure, or do go-kart racing. Always respect the monarchy and remember to remove your shoes before entering a Thai person’s home.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali, a small island in Indonesia, is considered as one of the most beautiful family destinations in the world, as it offers pretty beaches merged with terraced rice paddies and lush forests. The place boasts of some amazing attractions for kids, like Waterbom Bali to enjoy water sports, Pirates Bay Bali to experience the life of pirates, Bali Safari Marine Park, Elephant Safari Park, Sacred Monkey Forest, Lollipop Playland, Goa Gajah, and Bali Zoo just to name a few.

If the family loves water, you should indulge in activities like jet skiing or white water rafting. If your family needs a break from the activities, you can book an Island Explorer Cruise to visit Lembongan Island, where you will get to enjoy island tours, snorkeling, and fishing or simply relax under the sun. Here are some don’ts that you should keep in mind during your Bali tour: don’t touch anyone’s head, don’t give something with the left hand, and don’t clear your plate if you’re invited to a dinner.

Maldives, Southeast Asia

If you’re looking for a perfect tropical island for your next family trip, Maldives can easily top the chart. Here, you can enjoy turquoise water coupled with white sand beaches. As beach villas are situated on the beach itself, you can see the kids playing while lazing under the sun. Here, your kids can make the most of year-round sunshine and indulge in water sports while enjoying their island living in a safe environment.

Some of the must-visit places are Kanuhura to enjoy unexplored dive sites, Kuda Huraa, Constance Halaveli, Diva Maldives, and Anantara Dhigu. As the Maldives is all about sand, sea, and sun, each resort offers plenty of water and land sports to keep the kids engaged throughout the vacation. However, when traveling with kids, you should opt for direct flights and book your stay close to the mainland.
