Australia Travel Tips: How To Pass The Evenings when You’re on Vacation

If you know that you are going to be travelling to Australia soon then you’ll need to make sure that you have plenty to do. If you don’t then you may find that you get bored and this is the last thing that you want. If you need to get around this then you’ll be glad to know that Australia is full of things to do and when you take a look at some of these top destinations, you’ll soon be able to pass the time.

See The City Light Up At Vivid And Enlighten

Australia’s cities really do like to put on a show. If you want to go to see something like this in the evening, then you need to go during either winter or autumn. The best displays are in Canberra and Sydney. In March, the capital then comes to life and there are some incredible illuminations as well. The Parliamentary Triangle is also completely transformed into a vibrant arts precinct. There’s live music and performances against the stunning architectural projections and when you travel during June and May you will soon see that there are loads of projections. Vivid Sydney is very impressive and there are various museums that you can visit if you want to get the full and best result.

Bring In The New Year

Bringing in the New Year in Australia is quite possibly a bucket list experience. Over a million people gather at the Sydney Harbour and then some of the most famous fireworks in the city commence. You can buy a ticket to the fine dining experience if you want or you can even head to one of the viewing spots as well. When you do, you will soon find that you can watch the event for free. The pre-show entertainment involves a family-friendly firework display at 9pm but there are things to do throughout the afternoon if you want.

Go To The Casino

Australia is famous for its casinos so it would really be a shame for you to miss out on this. If you want to have the best experience, then make sure that you do your research beforehand and also make sure that you take enough spending money. If you don’t have the time or the energy to get dressed up for the casino then this is understandable, so look up the best online casinos in Australia instead.

Explore The Cities At Night

Australia’s cities really are buzzing every single night of the week. This gives those who are night owls the chance to have a fun and exciting experience. You can see the sun set over the skyline and you can also visit a rooftop bar as well. The live music scene is not to be missed and if you go there you can easily watch any new and upcoming bands take to the stage. There are even some indoor theatres and they are not to be missed. It doesn’t matter whether you like a fine cocktail or whether you just want to watch a movie because it’s easier than ever for you to do this when you go to the right location.

Dark MOFO

Even the quiet town of Hobart in Tasmania has its own after-hours fun. When you go in June you will soon find that there is a Dark MOFO festival. This is a winter art’s festival that completely transforms the city. The celebration features offbeat productions, light and sound shows and so much more. Creative takes on the very dark theme are interesting to watch and it’s a fun experience to say the least. If you have never been to this location before or if you have never thought about visiting Australia, then this is something that you’ll certainly want to watch.

See The Reef

Some people think that it’s only possible for you to see the Great Barrier Reef during the day. This is not the case at all, in fact, you can actually see it at night. There’s plenty of experiences that you can sign up with and when you do you will soon find that you can see the Reef in a completely different way. When the stars come out you can snuggle in a tent and get really comfortable. When you do, you can sleep in peace and then truly unwind.

Wander Through The Field Of Light

In the Red Centre you can easily head out after dusk to see the Field of Light. This essentially involves looking at different beautiful lights. There are over 50,000 powered stems that light up and it covers a huge area as well. You can also sip on some champagne and have some nibbles as well. The installation is going to be on show until later on in 2020 so you will have plenty of time to enjoy your trip.

Experience Night Fire

The theatrical performances will take you on a journey that is well and truly fascinating. You will also be able to learn about Aboriginal Australians as well. You will be able to throw a traditional boomerang and you can even learn how bush food was made. It’s a traditional evening full of entertainment and you can even learn about traditional health remedies too. You can even have your face painted which is very exciting to say the least. Dinner features include traditional flavours and you’ll finish your night sat around the fire.

So as you can see, there are so many things that you can do when you visit Australia and you would be surprised at how much there is to see and do as well. If you want to find out more then make sure that you look into the various travel programs that are available. When you do, you can then find out everything you need to know about the nightlife and everything there is to do there as well. Your travel agent should be able to help you out.
