The historic Yachana Lodge was used as an eco-friendly and education-based facility
for over ten years. During the past two years it has undergone a complete renovation.
All major structures have been sanded, re-stained, re-painted on both the inside and
outside including the roofs. The major infrastructure (ozonated water system, diesel
backup generator, electrical lines, septic system, concrete walkways, graded dirt road)
has also been updated. The asking price is USD $1,500,000.
The main structures sit high above the Napo River so there are no flooding or septic issues.
The views from the ridge are without a doubt the most spectacular of any lodge in Ecuador.
It can accommodate up to 38 guests. The property is an excellent condition and is now ready for a new owner to occupy. It would make an incredible “bolt hole” that could run self-sufficiently for extended periods of time. The Yachana Foundation is a wonderful resource
that is located around the corner and can provide additional support in the way of food, labor or just about any other type of service at reasonable rates.
The property is located in the Chontapunta Parish, Mondana Sector, Canton Tena,
Province of Napo. It is 380 meters above sea level and consists of three adjacent
lots all with the Napo River along the Southern borders. Lot #34 has all of the structures
and is 62 Hectares. Lot #35 is 50 Hectares of vacant rainforest. Lot #36 is 58 Hectares
of vacant rainforest. The entire property is over 170 Hectares (420 acres). Access to
the property is two hours on the main paved road from the Coca airport or a two hour
boat ride up the Napo river.
The property contains the following structures:

holding tanks before it is ozonated and then run to each structure. The septic lines all flow
downhill to a new bio-digestor. The diesel generator is large enough to run all the electrical
needs of the property. The power company has extra electrical capacity going to the corner
of the property. The property is gated for additional security. The main road into the property has been recently graded. There are eight (8) new propane hot water heaters. Brand new concrete pathways have been poured throughout the property.
