We have planted organic Ginger, Turmeric, Yucca, Plantains, Lime trees, Coconut, Mango, Soursop(Guanabana). There are about 50 mature Cacao(chocolate), Guava, Mango, Avocado and Water Apple. A nearby neighbor has an income of $40,000/month with just agriculture without a mountain or Eco-tourism, his property is much more developed but is shows the potential.
Our plan is/was to develop the property as a combination of Organic Agriculture and an Eco-Resort. In the next year our plan is to develop 3 income lines, the Eco-Resort starting with 2 rental cabins, the Organic Farm with the Turmeric and Ginger as crops, and 20 cattle. During season we believe that the cabins will bring in $21,700 and another $8,000 from the cattle for almost $30,000, and those are just the initial plans. There is lots of space to expand with more cabins, cattle or crops.
Due to family issues we are having to travel frequently and spend more time away we are offering the property for sale. We will continue developing the property as we can. In the coming months we will be expanding the farm area and the rental cabins are in the planning stages. In the first kilometer we have identified 15 potential sites where cabins can be built with views of the ocean, mountains, or both.
