Here - Now is the time to buy. The only hitch for foreigners is that
you need to be a legal resident to purchase property here. (The laws on
legal residency are currently vague, but will probably smooth out when
the Czech Republic approaches membership in the EU.) There is, however,
a loophole around the residency requirement. You can form your own company,
and the company can then purchase the property for you.

are so low that making offers is almost embarrassing. What's more, opportunities
may get even better!
Enjoying
long-term rental in northern Europe - Click
Here - Although I love living in Ireland, I have a bad case of wanderlust
and a taste for foreign foods. I love to poke around markets when I travel,
particularly if I have the use of a kitchen where I can cook local dishes.
Renting is a good option, and I've always found that it ends up being much
cheaper than a lengthy hotel stay.

Here - A château might need two plumbing contractors working
full time to put in bathrooms. An American requires it. For one thing,
Americans demand plenty of hot water and plenty of places to use it. For
another, Americans like to get things done…quickly. And finally, Americans
have no understanding of the ancien régime notion that apportions
work according to tradition. The former owner had given us the names of
two plumbing-electrical contractors. With American efficiency, I had contacted
them both -

is another good bet for a longer stay—winters here are mild, trains go
everywhere, and you can do a lot of exploring from an Algarve base or the
Lisbon coast.
Buying
Real Estate in Bangkok: Bargains in Asia’s most livable city - Click
Here - The Bangkok real-estate market has now stabilized, as has the
rate of exchange. Moreover, the Thai economy—in free fall through most
of 1998—has bottomed out. As there is still a property overhang in Bangkok,
big short-term gains are unlikely, but over the longer term it should be
a very different story. If you buy now, you can be sure that you will be
buying at (or very near) the bottom, and also that you will be obtaining
some of the best value the Far East currently has to offer.
Quebec…“Je
me souviens”—what? -
Click
Here - Upper and Lower Quebec are connected by stairways down the face
of a cliff—one is called l'escalier de casse-cou, or Break-your-neck Stairway—and
an expensive funicular. Walk - The towering wedge-shaped roof of the Château
Frontenac, a hotel that looks like a caricature of a Loire château,
dominates Upper Quebec. Gloomy and baronial inside, it is still the only
place to stay, though not to eat.

Here - The next time I move, my contact information will move with
me. Whether I’m on business in Glasgow, vacationing in Greece, sizing up
property in Guatemala, or living in Timbuktu—my contact information will
stay the same. No matter how often I move around, I will now be instantly
accessible to friends, family, and even my bank manager. My portable office
system means my postal and E-mail addresses and my telephone and fax numbers
need never change again—regardless of my physical whereabouts.
