The cats of Casco Viejo

This little guy came to visit me. Casco Viejo is full of stray cats that live in the empty buildings.
They are not treated as well as the stray cats in Rome. While no one maltreats them in Casco
Viejo, I have not seen dishes of leftovers placed out as I did in Rome. In Casco Viejo, it's every cat
for themselves. The Romans feed stray cats because the value of cats has been learned through the
centuries. A city full of stray cats is not full of stray rats. Still, a dish of pasta goes good once in
awhile. Rats? ...I just had rat for lunch, let's have lasagna for dinner with a red wine. I didn't
have any lasagna, so I went to a store and bought sardines for this guy. When I returned he was
gone.
