The visual splendor of an architect like no other. Casco Viejo is on a narrow peninsula filled with
narrow streets that are like a labyrinth. As one walks from the tip of the peninsula towards the
newer sections of the city the architecture begins to change. Diverse styles of construction sit next
to one another like impressionist paintings in a gallery sitting next to art deco. It never seems to
clash. The years have created a vintage that is unique to Casco Viejo. It's roots spread throughout
the city. Five miles from the center of Casco Viejo one can find it's influences in buildings in
sections like the Bella Vista district where the Casco Viejo style sits side by side with 21st century
high-rises.
