you can teach English abroad with the ITC International TEFL
Certificate. The International TEFL Certificate is an exciting and
challenging 4-week, 110-hour program with locations in the enchanting cities
of Prague and Barcelona. You can become certified to teach English as a
foreign language worldwide. ITC will provide you with the confidence
and ability to understand and relate to students of all nationalities around
the world. ITC has graduated over 1,500 teachers who have enjoyed
teaching in at least 22 different countries from South America to Southeast
Asia and the Gulf States. ITC also operates the International School
of English in Prague giving graduates the opportunity to teach at our on-site
EFL School. The EFL field is becoming more organized and
sophisticated every year. This movement is creating rapid advancement for
enthusiastic, conscientious, trained teachers. |

|
| Many new EFL
teachers are promoted within their first year to management positions or
training assistants. With its focus on presenting affordable overseas certificate
programs, offering excellent training, and ensuring the employability of
graduates, ITC is distinct among TEFL training programs in
this rapidly growing industry. Our training and management teams have years
of experience in language schools and training institutes throughout the
world. They can offer a classroom of real world experience that enables
our graduates to begin careers in respected schools throughout the English
teaching world. Taking the ITC TEFL course outside of your home
country gives you the hands-on experience needed to make a smooth transition
from student to teacher. The teaching practice during the ITC course
will help you get a realistic feeling for teaching non-native English speakers.
In addition to the course itself, we offer support and guidance in your
adjustment to living in another country.
The course
is an initial qualification designed to provide prospective teachers with
little or no classroom experience with a good command of fundamental procedural
skills used in EFL classrooms around the world today. Throughout
the program you receive a balance of the necessary theoretical knowledge
with practical application. |
|
|
| The course
is essentially participatory in nature and teaching practice forms a major
component. By the end of the course you are able to plan and create
enjoyable and engaging lessons and develop a good rapport with foreign
language students. We draw on a variety of methods and materials which
encompass different learning styles, encouraging active participation and
student-centred interaction through task-based learning.
Doing a TEFL
certificate in either Prague or Barcelona gives you the advantage of first-hand
experience not just in learning how to teach, but also of life and daily
interaction in a different country. This offers a greater understanding
of second language learners and provides further sensitivity to their needs.
In addition ITC also offers a series of fun and practical introductory
Czech or Spanish lessons that help you gently settle into your new environment. |
