Running Away To Home - Robin Sparks in Paris - Running Away To Home - Robin Sparks in Paris - The place is filling now with an interesting crowd. People are buzzing around, moving into the main room. The techno music has changed to jazz and the volume has been turned up a notch. Tres interessant, and here I sit pecking away. A blonde man leans over my table and begins speaking to me in French. I take off my glasses, look him in the eye, and say, "Je ne parle pas beaucoup Francais. Parle vous Anglais?" "Un petite peu,"? he says. Letter From Cornwall - Letter From Cornwall - I was looking for a quiet, inspirational place to write, a place far removed from the expense, noise and crowds of London. ‘Why not Cornwall?’ I thought, with that memory of the beach below the cliffs stuck in my mind. The 5 Best Ways To Live, Retire, Or Profit In New Zealand - The 5 Best Ways To Live, Retire, Or Profit In New Zealand - New Zealand is one of my favorite places in the world. As a California native, I have a funny requirement when looking for a place to live, work, or “retire.” It’s this: I look to see whether or not avocados grow there. You see, avocados like it warm...with lots of sunlight. So do I. So if they grow there, I know I’ll at least like the weather. Avocados grow very well in northern New Zealand. by Rick Rule [From The Best Of International Living]

A Short Course In Clearing Customs - A Short Course In Clearing Customs - by Doug Casey "I probably enter and leave the U.S. about two dozen times a year. By far the most unpleasant part of traveling --- more than the delays, the endless hours in a flying cigar tube, the irregular schedules it entails --- is going through customs and immigration. The people working for these agencies are about the bottom of the barrel." But it can buy those Russian women in the Bois de Boulogne. And what would be nicer - a 30 minutes of cheap, imitation love with the woman on the bicycle...or a lifetime of the real thing with Janet Reno? EscapeArtist Has A New Search Engine - EscapeArtist Has A New Search Engine - We now have a search engine. Why so long to build one, you might ask. Our website is a directory with various categories and a standard search engine would not do. We had to build a data-base driven search engine that searched by categories and topics. A fuzzy search engine wouldn't work for our website. We have to enter each topic into the database by hand. As you might imagine this is one heck of a job, but we believe the end results are going to very worthwhile. It's now on our home page only, going through beta testing and being added to on a daily basis. Try it out, let us know what you think. Your comments are important to us. We will begin to add links to exterior websites within the next month or so. At this point it provides links to our own website only.
