In the recent
article "Worldwide Health Insurance" By Michael Lamb is a listing with
ranks countries in terms of cost of health care. The list is quite
long but to my surprise it did not include India, which is certainly a
popular travel destination.
Can you maybe
forward this question to the writer of the article. Thanks - Ulf

says India should have appeared in Section 7. The Ed |
This will be my first time visiting,

Hi! I enjoyed
reading the article "Homesteading in Japan" by David Markle. I could
imagine myself in his situation though a bit different because I'm a Filipina.
From the Philippines to get to Japan is difficult. Few job opportunities
for Filipino engineers, and for Filipino teachers who want to try their
luck in Japan you have to try really hard to get a sponsor. Anyway,
I was doing my lessons when I happen to see this site of yours and I took
time to give a comment. More power to your e-zine and I hope to have
more time to read other interesting articles. Thank you. Menchie (English

Dear Ms. Editor,
Thanks for choosing Cynthia Cudmore-Mulder's
article about Japan. It was a pleasure to read. I am a civil servant planning
to retire to Japan in the next few years and I found her depiction to be
fair and interesting. Too often "gaijins" expect Japan to be a picture
card version of Kyoto and are disappointed when they find a densely populated,
humid island country, lacking central heat, and a people with a strong
sense of of their own history and identity.. Good on you and the author. Aidan Prendergast |
I have just finished reading the
article by Mr. Moore "after America". I have never been more disgusted
in my life to read such "trash". I am so disappointed you decided
to print that anti-American, pro gay manifesto. God what rubbish he writes.
I could care less what gays do or where they do it, not my business. But
when they or anyone bashes America, especially while we are at war is disgusting
and shameful.
I LOVE AMERICA...I AM PROUD TO BE
AMERICAN. I also enjoy and appreciate your expat news mag, very well done
as a rule.

I confess I have not included
all of Richard's letter because it was unnecessarily rude, but I feel since
we are a free world, that he is entitled to make his point. Articles in
the magazine are there to be read...or not read; if the subject matter
offends you, then of course you are free to choose not to read.

I so enjoyed the article "America
Is Over" and want to share it with a few friends, or at least one.
How can one email it, or can one? Thanks. Robert Champ |
Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed reading
the article, 'Overseas with a Toddler: Traveling in Italy'. I am planning
a trip to Italy with my husband and my 1yr old son. I was very paranoid
travelling or rather going for vacation with a small child. But reading
this article makes me a more confident person and I think we can have great
vacation if planned properly. The article has given proper insights of
what to do and not to do when travelling with a child. I will try
and follow it, to make sure I have a great vacation. Tks a mill again!! Arati |
