The first book of the Bali Trilogy is called “Eating Bali.”  This is the first and only food guide to the more than 200 eateries on the island.  Each establishment is reviewed as a humorous short story and is relied upon worldwide by visitors to Bali and armchair travellers alike.

The second book is “Secret Bali.”  As my wife and I got to know every region more intimately, we began to realize that there was far more to discover.  We were able to delve a little deeper below the surface into a more fascinating - and dangerous world – that the one which tourists are exposed to.  Like the famous beachfront resort hotel that kills at least one tourist each year in a Satanic sacrifice to ensure financial success, the XXXX-Rated Temple of Penis Envy, the Royal Palace that will rent you a room for a night, the off-the-beaten-path magnificent Sistine Chapel-like royal meeting room with painted ceilings, the secret Black Magic Killing Fields where thousands were massacred, the burial site of the hundreds of tourists killed in an unnecessary plane crash that’s still kept top-secret, and the secret location of the barracks housing most of Bali’s prostitutes.  I not only spill the beans, I provide detailed maps and addresses.

My third (and personal favorite) is “Scared To Death” in which I reveal how U.S. President Ronald Reagan went into a coma and had a near-death experience during a secret voodoo ceremony.  I visited the actual resort where it happened (I name it in the book), met and interviewed the member of the Secret Service who was present and the Witch Doctor who conducted the ceremony at the Reagan’s request.

It occurred to me that if this rumour was true, maybe some of the other rumours I’d been hearing were also true. So I began travelling throughout Indonesia to find and interview a real vampire, learned of  a type of magic used by Bali’s prostitutes to hypnotize and swindle male tourists (it works well – a friend of ours lost $500,000 in just 30 days) and lots more.
