As
a tourist destination, South Africa is “a world in one country”. At 6 South
African Rands (ZAR) to the USD it is a relatively inexpensive country to
visit, and a great country to invest in or immigrate to.
.
South Africa is made up of nine provinces. All provinces have modern cities and beautiful game reserves. The Western Cape: The Western Cape is the most popular tourist destination in South Africa. It has a Mediterranean climate, long hot summers and mild winters. Cape Town boasts some of the finest 5 star hotels and beaches along a most magnificent coastline. Around the Cape Peninsula, most of the beaches are shadowed by the mountain ranges providing the beautiful locations and scenery. A few minutes drive out of Cape Town a will find you in the winelands. Stellenbosch and the surrounding areas produce some of the world’s finest wines. Most of the estates are open daily for tastings and purchases. www.tourismcapetown.co.za The Eastern Cape: The Eastern Cape hosts one of the most scenic parts of South Africa, THE GARDEN ROUTE. Along the magnificent coastline are forests of giant stinkwood and yellowwood trees. Not far from the major city of Port Elizabeth is Jeffrey’s Bay, home of the world’s finest wave. Surfers from all over the world travel to enjoy the perfect sets in Jeffrey’s Bay. Inland from the coastline is the semi-desert area of the Karoo. This provides a different perspective on life and a visit to the Addo Elephant Park is a must. www.ectourism.co.za
Mpumalanga:
The world’s largest game reserve, The Kruger National Park, is located
in the east of Mpumalanga. This is the place to see the lions, leopards,
buffalo, rhino, hippo elephant and all the best wildlife that Africa
can offer. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat from the comfort
of your car or open Jeep is a truly great experience. Early in the morning
it is not unusual to spot lions feeding on prey they have just caught.
Mpumalanga is so full of nature it is difficult to absorb it in one lifetime!
The waterfalls are spectacular, the Blyde River Canyon is second only to
the Grand Canyon. Visit an old mining town – Pilgrims Rest – and step back
in time. Mpumalanga can keep you entertained for years. www.mpumalanga.com
Limpopo: Limpopo Province is the most northern province of South Africa. Limpopo has over 50 nature reserves. Limpopo Province in conjunction with Zimbabwe and Namibia, has a large trans frontier park. This eliminates the fences and barriers that previously prevented animals free migration from one area to another. As weather changes the wildlife can now move to greener pastures across the borders. www.limpopotourism.org.za
