New Destination |

The Republic
of South Africa, located at the tip of Africa, is the world’s new favourite
tourist AND migration destination.
As other countries
around the globe make it more and more difficult to migrate to, South Africa
has eased its restrictions. The intention of the South African Government
is to attract skilled workers to the country. South Africa is short of
500,000 graduates in various fields including IT, Engineering, Business
and many other technical fields. One of the strategies is for South Africa
to become the call centre capital of the world. This requires skilled people
and investment. |

|
|
|
As a tourist
destination, South Africa is “a world in one country”. At 6 South African
Rands (ZAR) to the USD it is a relatively inexpensive country to visit,
and a great country to invest in or immigrate to.

South Africa
is made up of nine provinces. All provinces have modern cities and beautiful
game reserves.
The Western
Cape: The Western Cape is the most popular tourist destination in South
Africa. |
|
|
| It has a Mediterranean
climate, long hot summers and mild winters. Cape Town boasts some of the
finest 5 star hotels and beaches along a most magnificent coastline. Around
the Cape Peninsula, most of the beaches are shadowed by the mountain ranges
providing the beautiful locations and scenery.
A few minutes
drive out of Cape Town a will find you in the winelands. Stellenbosch and
the surrounding areas produce some of the world’s finest wines. Most of
the estates are open daily for tastings and purchases. www.tourismcapetown.co.za
The Eastern
Cape: The Eastern Cape hosts one of the most scenic parts of South
Africa, THE GARDEN ROUTE. Along the magnificent coastline are forests
of giant stinkwood and yellowwood trees. Not far from the major city of
Port Elizabeth is Jeffrey’s Bay, home of the world’s finest wave. Surfers
from all over the world travel to enjoy the perfect sets in Jeffrey’s Bay. |

| Inland from
the coastline is the semi-desert area of the Karoo. This provides a different
perspective on life and a visit to the Addo Elephant Park is a must. www.ectourism.co.za
Kwazulu-Natal:
Travelling around the coast the province previously known as Natal, is
situated along the east coast and hence has a sub-tropical climate. Swimming
and water sports are available throughout the year. This is a vibrant holiday
province. The centre is the city of Durban, the largest and busiest port
in Africa. “ The golden mile”, Durban’s beachfront, is an ideal playground
with the new uShaka Marine park and aquarium, 5 Star hotels, and restaurants
and clubs that keep the visitors entertained and well fed!
Travel inland
and visit the awesome Drakensberg Mountains. In summer take long hikes
along mountain trails and in winter, ski along the slopes.
Gauteng:
Johannesburg – city of gold and the financial hub of Africa. Pretoria –
seat of government. Gauteng is the smallest province in size and the largest
by population. It is the financial centre of South Africa. The largest
producer of gold in the world, Gauteng attracts the businessmen to the
country. |
|
|
| As Gauteng
is situated in the centre of the country, it is within easy travelling
distance from the tourist resorts at the sea, the game reserves of the
eastern parts and only an hour’s drive from Sun City (partly owned by Michael
Jackson). Johannesburg and Pretoria are vibrant cities full of life
both day and night and both house top class stadiums for rugby cricket
and soccer.
Mpumalanga:
The world’s largest game reserve, The Kruger National Park, is located
in the east of Mpumalanga. This is the place to see the lions, leopards,
buffalo, rhino, hippo elephant and all the best wildlife that Africa
can offer. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat from the comfort
of your car or open Jeep is a truly great experience. Early in the morning
it is not unusual to spot lions feeding on prey they have just caught.
Mpumalanga is so full of nature it is difficult to absorb it in one lifetime!
The waterfalls are spectacular, the Blyde River Canyon is second only to
the Grand Canyon. |

| Visit an old
mining town – Pilgrims Rest – and step back in time. Mpumalanga can keep
you entertained for years. www.mpumalanga.com
Limpopo:
Limpopo Province is the most northern province of South Africa. Limpopo
has over 50 nature reserves. Limpopo Province in conjunction with Zimbabwe
and Namibia, has a large trans frontier park. This eliminates the fences
and barriers that previously prevented animals free migration from one
area to another. As weather changes the wildlife can now move to greener
pastures across the borders.
Northern
Cape Province: The Northern Cape is the home of the diamond fields.
In this area diamonds are mined and on the coast are gathered off the sea
bed. South Africa as a result is the world’s largest supplier of diamonds.
The history of the diamond discovery and growth of the De Beers Diamond
group make fascinating reading. The province is the driest in South
Africa and is largely semi-desert. This does not detract from its beauty
and fascination. The Orange river cuts through the province creating gorges
and the mighty Augrabies Falls. www.northerncape.org.za
North West
Province: This is the Platinum Province. One of the worlds largest
platinum mines is located just outside the town of Brits. North West Province
was for many years the entertainment province having Sun City located within
its borders. The worlds top performers have appeared at Sun City including
Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Queen, Rod Stewart and many others. The golf
courses are amazing, and host to the “ Million Dollar” every December.
