Bocas
Del Toro Waterfront Land ~ Waterfront
Land Plus Cashflow ~ Caribbean Land, Teak trees, an exotic tropical
fruit, waterfront property, fifteen minutes from Bocas Town, and the price
is right. My calculation a year ago is that even if the property never
made a nickel the land even by itself was a bargain. Tom took a huge
chunk of land and converted it into a Teak & Noni Plantation.
If someone would have tired to buy a few hundred acres they couldn't have
done it. It was a huge block, over a thousand acres... and while
I haven't walked all thousand acres of it, what I have walked has clearly
gone through some dramatic improvements in one years time. In the
photo below you are seeing an area that was covered with dense tropical
foliage and is now a park-like setting covered with Noni. Put a house there,
a summer retreat, a dock, a house over the water, a fishing retreat, a
survival retreat, or just camp out... When we take into consideration
the price these parcels are selling for it is difficult to ignore this
opportunity. |

Make
Money Overseas - Writing eBooks For EscapeArtist.com - Write
eBooks for Profit - What we're looking for are ideas, not Pulitzer
Prize writers. Ideas are what fuel our magazine and our website.
Now we want to expand that concept into eBooks for expats. You don't
have to be a professional writer to submit a report that provides important
information - - information that you yourself have learned by having been
there and done it. That is exactly what our readers are seeking, facts
about living overseas from people who've done it, facts about buying a
barge and sailing down the Danube, what it takes to migrate to Argentina,
how to open a business in Prague, buy an island in Belize, get a job in
Paris, start a farm in Mozambique, run an internet business out of the
Dominican Republic, run a rent-a-scooter shop in Mauritius.
Re-Entering
Panama ~ Returning
From A Busy Country ~ By Zvia Leibler-Danon - Want it know what it
feels like to enter Panama for the first time or to return to Panama after
a long trip overseas, then check out the above article and you'll get an
idea of how Panama has the ability to relax you and help you decompress.
Lots of shooting and killing going on in the world right now, but little
of that kind of depressing news in Panama.
Life
In The Dominican Republic ~ Quite
A Change After The UK! Part 3 ~
By Malcolm Couch - In Malcolm's third and final article on the DR he looks
at the economy of the country and examines what kinds of things you can
see if you decide to move to or visit the DR. The DR has a lot to offer
to the expatriate who wants to have calm and excitement: if you are thinking
about making a move to the DR make sure to read Part I and II of Malcolm's
series on living in the DR.
Living
Like A Native In Morelia, Mexico ~ All
The Details ~ By David Wix - Nice article on moving to Morelia, Mexico.
The town is one of the oldest colonial towns in Mexico - its known as the
most aristocratic of Mexico's colonial towns - and you can see the colonial
history in the giant 17th century aquaduct that runs through the town as
well as the classic colonial architecture of Morelia's houses and public
buildings. If you decide to escape the city and travel through the countryside
of the province of Michoacan of which Morelia is the capital, then you
will treat your eyes to green mountains and beautiful lakes. Go now!
El
Cope, Cocle ~ And
Some Other Ideas ~ By Matthew Atlee - Went in search of a very remote
place in Cocle province, Panama where you can see both the Atlantic and
Pacific oceans on a clear day. I searched and searched and was never able
to find the beautiful spot that I had visited six years before, but in
the process of looking found some nice rivers and towns that I will visit
again in the near future.

world. Read his article and find out why. |
In
Wellington ~ Adventure

of time in Panama and is now off living in New Zealand where he has been
exploring and having what I imagine is a very good time. Anyway, check
out the above article; hope to have more articles from Varoon in the near

The
Division Of Labor...And Gold ~ Squash
Gold ~ By Bill Bonner - Bill Bonner touches on a very simple but important
thought in his commentary on gold: some things remain constant no matter
the storm that surrounds us. Gold is one of those constants as is the search
for food. The world is in constant flux with some people moving up and
others falling, still others change shape and specialize into new areas,
but there is always a bedrock at the bottom, and that bedrock is made up
of materials and places people run to when trouble begins. And gold will
always be one of those places and one of those materials that will offer
safety during uncertain times.
Europe

~ By Jon Steele - Jon gives us all the details we
need to know in order to make our way through Europe. He really is an experienced
traveller and you can tell that by all the little details he gives us about
how to make our way through a country with the least amount of friction.
Jon I hope will continue on with his other writings on Chile, a country
he knows very well.

On Investing In The Ukraine ~Isolating
The Variables ~ By Jason Jones - Very good article on the investment
climate in the Ukraine. The article looks at how the Ukraine has done over
the past few years in its attempts to attract international capital. Historically,
there has always been a strong connection between Poland and the Ukraine
and in the above article Poland is used as one of the guideposts to determine
whether or not the Ukraine is headed in the right direction. The article
also looks at politics and its role on how the Ukraine will fair in the
short-term.

Finding
A Place To Stay In Geneva ~ A
Guide To English Resources ~ By
Michele Ann Jenkins - Very good article on what you need to know when looking
for an apartment in Geneva. Geneva is the European home of the UN and the
city is famous for its diplomatic history - Geneva was the home of the
League of Nations. The town is a fun place to live in from what friends
tell me. If you find a job with an international organization and find
yourself based in Geneva, then take a look at the above article and get
the "heads up" on what you need to know in order to find a place to live. |

on the Honduran Island of Roatan. The doctor visits for two-months of the
year and the rest of the time Capt. Jack can sit back and take care of

My
Swiss Bank Affair ~ Opening
An Account ~ By Bonnie Burns - No matter where you live banking practices
can seem quite mysterious or idiosyncratic when compared to the country
you come from. Banking is very different from place to place and that is
what is exceptionally translated in the above article. A wonderful and
comical piece about being told what you need to live on by your friendly
Swiss banker. If you want to know what a person really thinks then watch
what they do with their money, and if you really want to insult a person
tell them how much of their money they need and why they can't withdrawl
more. Remember, Switzerland is not America.
