| "There
are some things which cannot be learned quickly, and time, which is all
we have, must be paid heavily for their acquiring. They are the very simplest
things and because it takes a man's life to know them the little new that
each man gets from life is very costly and the only heritage he has to
leave." - - Ernest Hemingway |

Living
In Bulgaria ~ What
You Should Look Out For ~ By Simeon Mitropolitski - There are many
things to see and do in Bulgaria: the Valley of the Roses, skiing in the
mountains, and relaxing on the beaches. As a place to move to it is not
an obvious choice, but the country is slowly integrating itself into the
European Union and this should lead to greater stability and wealth. If
you want to know about what you need to do in order to survive in Bulgaria
the above article will be your guide.
East
Meets West ~ In
Thailand With Vietnam Vets ~ By Robin Sparks - Robin Sparks continues
her odyssey in Asia. She is back in Thailand talking with some Americans
that have decided to settle down and make a life for themselves in the
Thai Kingdom. Robin takes us inside the marriage of a retired American
soldier to his Thai wife. Also learn about some of the volunteer work that
some of the ex-soldiers are involved in in Thailand. If you are sick of
the tensions that most people are feeling right now in the U.S., then a
life overseas in Asia might be the answer for you.
Life
in Argentina ~ Not
Taking Into Account The Devaluation Or Political Situation ~ By Jaime
Russell - Jaime Russell is married to an Argentinean and has spent the
last couple of years in the regional capital of Jujuy. She writes about
her experiences in Argentina and points out how different things are in
the interior of the country from the troubles in Buenos Aires. Argentina
has become a very popular destination for Latin Americans and Europeans.
The country has a lot of bargains for those who know where to look: real
estate in the south being one of the most popular areas for investors.
If you just want to get a feel for Argentina the above article will get
you started. |

Living
in Costa Rica ~ Exploring
The Beaches Of Costa Rica ~ By Vanessa Morson - Costa Rica has for
years been denouced as a bad place to invest or visit. This is just not
true. It's my favorite country in the region and the people are nice and
realistic. They know tourism and have been at it for years so the quality
of the service in Costa Rica is much higher than in the other countries
of Central America. And the weather is the best as well as the beaches.
If you want to visit a country where you know you're going to have a good
time try out Costa Rica.

Learning How To Disappear - Learning
How To Disappear - A little tidbit on skip-tracers, we do it because
there is an adrenaline rush in what we do. What’s even better is I get
to bill my client and make some money. As we say in my office, ‘its
all about the Benjamin’s’. If your name comes across my desk and the money
is right you are in the hunt. I will spend my day finding your mistakes,
be it through the utility company, the cable TV Company, or that collect
call from Cabo San Lucas to your sister Edith. |

How
To Buy A Castle In The Former East German States - How
To Buy A Castle In The Former East German States - There
are, however, incentives to restore such castles and manor houses. The
states have funds which pay subsidies toward renovation. This can be as
much as 30% to 40% of the cost of renovation. Grants are allowed and agreed
to before renovation begins, but are paid after renovation is finished.
Thus, an investor will have to invest his own capital before receiving
the subsidies. An investor is also entitled to receive the 16% VAT
tax (value-added tax) back he has paid for building supplies. This too
has to be applied for, and is paid after renovation is finished.

Rhapsodic
Bohemia... where you can become a homeowner for less than $4,000
- Real
Estate & Life In The Czech Republic's Bohemia - Cottages to restore
start at just $3,700. Some are admittedly ramshackle but you can find simple
homes in good condition for crazy prices. RIS Agency has an exceptional
bargain at a village called Zanicary, near the old silver-mining town of
Kutna Hora. Just 50 miles from Prague, this 100-year old cottage is 1,300
square feet and was restored 10 years ago. Priced at $8,300, it has wooden
beams, a cobbled courtyard, and a 3,300-square-foot garden. Another good
buy in the same region was a 2,700-suare-foot family house on land of 8,500
square feet. This was $15,000. - From The Best Of International Living

Daytrips
In Panama ~ Looking
At Real Estate And Passing Through Colon ~ By Matthew Atlee - If
you drive around Panama you will see "For Sale" signs all over the place.
There are some great old buildings for sale in the city and in the countryside
there are lots of people selling land. Some of the land is located right
on the beach and other lots are in the mountains. If you are thinking about
moving to Panama, remember you have to have a little bit of the buccaneer
spirit to do it. Colon is a place you might want to check out if you want
to see something different; there is property in Colon City as well as
Colon Province. See you there.

Madagascar has some of the most unique flora and fauna in the world. The

to the Zone Rouge in the west, to the moist highlands of the central plateau,
Madagascar is a land that fills the imagination. Would love to go and soon.
From
Pub Culture Into The Graveyard Of Ambition ~ A
Rainy Day In Galway ~ By Will Sullivan - Will Sullivan has written
a very good portrait of a moment he had while living in Galway. Ireland's
west coast is one of the places I've visited that left a deep impression
on me; it was the atmosphere of the place that sticks: heavy dark clouds,
the rain, the green countryside and the friendly and open people that live
on the coast. If you like pubs, rain, and dark days then Will captures
the feelings that go with Ireland very well.
Treasures
Of The Silver Coast ~A
Guide To The Dominican Republic's North Shore ~ By Carolyn Kelly -
The north coast of the Dominican Republic is considered one of the most
beautiful coast lines in all the Carribbean. The above article gives tons
of details about what to see if you visit the north coast, where to stay,
where to eat, and what to do. Never been to the Dominican Republic, but
have lots of friends who live there. And they tell me that there is no
place like living in the DR; the mix of people and the beauty of the island
make it a place people don't want to leave.

New Investment Pool from Successful
Offshore Hedge Fund Manager - In the September 2002 issue of
Escape From America Magazine we posted an article about a Swiss-style,
European run offshore brokerage firm located in Panama. Since then
we've had sufficient feedback to determine that clients are happy with
the firm mentioned in that article. That same firm has agreed to provide
a managed investment pool exclusively for our subscribers. According
to the firm, this Pool has been designed with enhanced profit sharing conditions
in order to maximize investors profits. Profit share will be 20% of net
profits over the first 20% net per annum. This means that if the traders
do not make at least 20% for our subscribers, they will not make any profit
share themselves. The firm's recommended investment is 50,000US$
We will continue to monitor your feedback regarding this firm. This
offer is good until May 25th or until the first 200 positions are filled.
