Hello! Have you gone out of business? I notice there is no magazine posted since December \'07, and there is no notice of your whereabouts in time or space on the website? Have you changed to a paid subscriber only? Hope to hear from you, Jorge Dominguez
Dear Jorge,
No, we are still here....we are re programming and redesigning our magazines....there should be a note on the current issue to this effect. But, we hope to be back on line later this month.
Comments: Your last email "Special Message" sounds like you have been taken over by Agora's "International Living" or is trying to mimic it. I hope not. There are more than enough rose-tinted US-American filters around distorting the perception of "paradise abroad".
Not to mention that "television", "videos" and "graphics" hog oodles of bandwidth and consume much more energy than text - without usually adding significantly to the information provided.
I think EscapeArtist is fine just the way it is (was)! Alison Lesser
You article on liver transplant in India is one of you best and it brought tears to my eyes -- tears of joy for the family and tears of sadness for the state of healthcare in both the USSA and Canada. James Kirby
I'm just responding to the comment that the average price of an apartment in Santiago is 30 000 dollars, but that's way off. A tiny bachelor pad goes for no less than 60 000 and you go on from there. A two bedroom apt doesn't cost less than 100,000. Times have changed, and they say it's a buyer's market... Daniela
