Flipped through and did a speed read of the entire book within three hours of getting it. Was very impressed with the information I had briefly seen. After a quick read through I have gone over it again to read more thouroughly what is inside and was very interested in what I read. My wife and I usually get to Cozumel once a year as a couple and because of my teaching job I am usually able to get there once by myself. Two main sections really stood out to me as helpfull. The first section was on all the restaurant reviews and options. When my wife and I are in Cozumel we try to eat at as many places as possible. So many times we hear about a great place to eat but can never find it. Patricia does a great job of reviewing the location as well as giving an address. She also talks about very affordable lunch spots and local eateries that are harder to find but well worth it. The other section I really like was on the Places to Stay. As I said I usually do one Coz trip a year on my own and I really like to check out small villas and out of the way hotels. The book does a great job of mentioning many different types of lodging and giving phone numbers and addresses. Anybody can go on the internet and get info on the big hotels, it's a lot harder to find out about all the smaller tucked away places that do not have internet advertising at there disposal. These are the places I like to stay to get a better feel for the island. Now I have a whole list of them to check out as well as phone numbers. All in all I think this is great book that will be packed in my carry on every trip to Cozumel.

Patricia A Holt is a frequent visitor to Cozumel and plans to relocate there in 2008. She has a BS in management and a BSN. An Army veteran and former military wife, Holt has five children and four grandchildren.
Holt is also an active member with The Chrysalis Foundation in Cozumel. This group is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial scholastic support for the island's students. Mexican public school students pay a registration fee and must provide their own uniforms, classroom supplies and some books. Many families in Cozumel lack the financial ability to send their children to school. The Cozumel Chrysalis Group assists those students who show a desire to better their lives through education, so that they can meet and maintain established academic standards.
