Not Your Typical Light Show

There’s no arguing that the Northern Lights is one of the most beautiful and fascinating natural happenings that occur on this globe that everyone deserves to see. Off the Map Travel, a luxury travel company, shares this idea with me.

The company has designed a unique trip, an All Day Aurora adventure in the Norwegian area of Longyearbyen. Located on the coasts of Svalbard, between Norway and the North Pole, the area experiences no sunlight and a high of 6.8 degrees for two and a half months. While that sounds quite unappealing, the coastal area is the only inhabited place on Earth where visitors can see the Northern Lights in the middle of the day!

The four-day trip takes visitors on an adventure, following the fascinating light show starting from the island of Spitsbergen, that includes dog sledding, snowshoeing, and exploring ice caves!

How Old is Beer?

One of the best ways to kick off the weekend is with a cold beer, but have you ever thought about the history of this timeless beverage?Consumer Resource Guide

Archaeologists found evidence of mashed wheat and barley on the lining of pits in the bedrock of a graveyard cave, Raqefet Cave, in Israel. This begs the question, was the invention of beer tied to funerals? The scientists that made the discovery believe that the residue is from beer brewing as part of a funerary feast 13,000 years ago.

Li Liu, a professor of Chinese archaeology at Stanford University, said this about the discovery: “This accounts for the oldest record of man-made alcohol in the world.”

UK Companies Registered in the Cayman Islands Have to Disclose Ownership

The Cayman Islands has long been one of the favorite destinations for businesses and entrepreneurs. The solid reputation of the jurisdiction, relaxed bank laws (at least, a few years back), and the country’s dependence on foreign investments make this a fiscal paradise in more than one sense of the word.

A surge in the number of companies in this tiny British territory in the Caribbean has been documented in the past few years. For the most part, the technology boom of the last decade is to thank for this.

This has included some of the world’s largest businesses. For example, when…

What to Expect When Hiring Domestic Help in Singapore

Singapore is one of the main countries in Southeast Asia that offers domestic help opportunities, along with Hong Kong. Not only is it one of the main regional hubs for professionals, but it is also an ideal destination for domestic helpers because of the market allowance.

There are various advantages for maids to work in Singapore, since the government pushes for their well-being and safety – and while the salary is similar to in Hong Kong, it’s higher than in the Middle East. Also, Singapore is not very far away from the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, or other Asian countries – and flights are usually…
