Eric Feathers was a veteran studio photographer who left San Francisco, CA, 7 years ago for Bahia, Brazil. Since arriving in Itacare he has worked for the growing tourist industry and mounted several local exhibitions.Relatively new to digital photography and photo-journalism, the photographer says he is "re-learning how to make photographs."

"The ease of reproduction and velocity of distribution (of photos) has forced me to re-evaluate the impact and value of each photo I make. Anyone can be a photo-journalist today; mass media is in the hands of the masses, but the challenge remains the same; to create personal images and memorable stories. In my case I find sensual beauty and eroticism in nature and I write about (and photograph) my "new life" in Brazil."
