a former U.S. Army corporal became a grandfather, he stopped secretly wearing
women's clothes, flew to Bangkok for a sex change operation and emerged
as a lesbian. "I heard about Bangkok from the Internet. My daughter found
it for me," Sherri Ann Higgins, 56, said in an interview while recovering
from surgery in a Bangkok hospital." The price was reasonable. And what
I liked about Bangkok is there was only a one-month waiting list, whereas
in the U.S. there is at least eight months to wait to have the change."

I first left the States in 1978 to live in San Miguel de Allende it was
a complete revelation to me. Here were people like me, adventurers from
all over the world who never quite felt at home at home. For the
first time in my life I could breathe easily, drop the falseness and constricting
political paranoia. As an actress and a writer I was respected instead
of suspected! What a relief!

The
Red Sea in Egypt for Scuba Diving - For Europeans, traveling
to the Red Sea for scuba diving is like North Americans going to the Caribbean.
For a scuba diver based in North America or anywhere else outside of Europe
or Africa, a journey to the Red Sea is considered one of the more exotic
scuba diving trips. Like other overseas travel, getting to the final destination
is the hardest thing. The Red Sea can be dived from ports in both Egypt
and Israel but most international scuba divers do so from the Egyptian
side.

of Brazil's Best - Boipeba and Morro Sao Paulo - Beachcombing
on a tropical island is a fantasy come true in Brazil. I spent six
days fulfilling this fantasy on not one, but two neighboring islands in
the southern part of Bahia state: Ilha de Boipeba and Morro de Sao Paulo.
Freeway Tour Operators, the leader in ecotourism in Brazil, took care of
all the details so that my only worry was packing a bag within the 15-kilo
weight limit imposed by the small plane that would transport me.
