Tanja Bulatovic - Author & Photgrapher has lived in the Balkans, Montenegro, France, Australia, the Philippines, Hungary, and other nations.  She truly lives an international lifestyle. Educated as an actress in Australia, she currently lives in Marseille, France.  Tanja welcomes your feedback and with her many contacts throughout the world can assist in international relocation.  -- Living In Marseille - The Hippest Spot - Montenegro – Tanja Bulatovic's Unconventional Guide - The Quest for an Island Paradise – Living On A Philippine Island - "Marseille Je t’aime! - I’m on the terrace of an 18th century apartment building hanging my washing on the line. The November sun feels good on my skin. A bouquet of basil, thyme and sage, emanates from the tiny herb garden I’ve managed to cultivate. A giant seagull or mouette, whooshes past me and beckons me to take a break. As I watch my friend glide through the air, the magnificent creature transforms into my private tour guide, reaffirming all the reasons I decided to follow my heart and call this place home. I take in my new surroundings. Limestone hills and orange terracotta rooftops scattered across a Mediterranean bay. I’m captivated by the rich history and energized by the vibe."
Living In Marseille - The Hippest Spot - If you’ve ever dreamt of living in France, and you don’t want to live in the middle of nowhere where the sun never shines, (north-west & central France) then this could very well be your last opportunity. I’m so certain of this fact; I’m trying to convince my own mother of retiring here. She currently lives in Australia and I know what you’re thinking, but we’re talking about affordability and quality of life here. With that in mind, I have to admit that France comes out on top. Now, that’s a big statement coming from an Australian girl, but I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it.
Montenegro – Tanja Bulatovic's Unconventional Guide - There are places in this world almost too good to write about. Like precious jewels, unpolished and raw they sit proudly in the quiet knowledge of their own self-worth without needing to blow their own trumpet. While Montenegro, specifically the coast has grown in leaps and bounds, little is known about its inland charms such as Durmitor National Park, the Tara River Canyon (the deepest in Europe), Mount Lovcen, Skadar (the biggest lake in the Balkans) and numerous other lakes, forests, and hidden gems.
Living In France Made Simple - Once upon a time we had four eBooks about different aspects of Living In France. The combined price of those ebooks was $80. A bit much for information even if it was decent information.  In the past year we've featured the articles & photographs of Tanja Bulatovic on the website.  She lives in France in the city of Marseille. In fact she wrote an article on Marseille which has proven to be one of our more popular articles, Living In Marseille - The Hippest Spot - She's lived in Australia, Germany, the Philippines, Montenegro and a dozen other spots.  She is an expat par excellence, not only living in other nations but learning the languages of the nations she lives in.  So, I asked her to do an ebook on living in France.  So she did.  What an eBook she wrote! At 254 pages this is one of the most complete eBooks I've ever seen.  The information is better, easier to understand, and more detailed.  With this eBook you can actually move to France.  IT IS COMPLETE!!
Tanja Bulatovic's Secret Portals of Marseille - Where to Eat, Drink and Sleep in Marseille - I literally stumbled on this place by accident.  The perfect bar with the best view in town. La Caravelle is a tucked away watering hole with a warm wooden interior overlooking the port.  And if you’re lucky enough to seize one of the four highly desirable tables on the tiny terrace, you’ll be celebrating in style with a million dollar view across the water to Notre Dame de la Garde. It does happen occasionally (the table vacancy) but you’ll have to be patient and watch the comings and goings (from inside) like a hawk. A difficult task at hand, I know, as you’ll be busy watching a whole lot more, like all those stylish locals indulging in fabulous mango mojitos (the house specialty) and feasting on saucisson, fromage and tapenade.  The music is a mix of Latin and jazz, with live music a couple of nights per week. I hardly need to tell you that the potential for romance with a view like that is almost guaranteed. Très romantique!
The Quest for an Island Paradise – Living On A Philippine Island - By Tanja Bulatovic - Investment opportunities on the island are not advertised, but just in case you haven’t already heard, everything is for sale.  While I was there, I was offered a piece of land. The asking price for land is Php 5,000/sqm (cheap compared to Boracay beach front which is 20,000/sqm). - The prices are probably below anything you might expect to pay. But just to give you a rough idea… at Pansacola Resort, their large hut is rented out at Php 2,500 (sleeps up to 20 people). Their medium sized huts are between Php 1000 to 1500 (sleeps 8 to 10 people). They also offer small, open sleeping ground at 500 pesos (up to 4 people). All huts and sleeping areas come with free tables and cooking area. You can cook your own meals or pay a small fee for a chef. Bathrooms are shared.
The Quest for an Island Paradise Part Two – Living On A Philippine Island - Bank Robbers and Hunter Girls in Puerto Galera - By Tanja Bulatovic- Like it or not, the country’s sex industry most certainly rivals the one in Thailand and most countries around the world for that matter. Men, (and occasionally women too) congregate from all corners of the globe knowing very well that a girl (or boy) costs no more than $15 per night.  For that price, they can buy pretty much anything they want.  At any age.  And what’s more, contraception is virtually unheard of. It’s a risky business for anyone involved but it doesn’t stop anyone either.
The Quest for an Island Paradise Part Three – Living On A Philippine Island - Boracay Unplugged By Tanja Bulatovic - Boracay is one of those places you can’t help but fall in love with. Clear, azure waters, wide stretches of powdery white sand, shady palms, lazy afternoons and sunsets that make everything fall into place. The butterfly-shaped, picture postcard isle, sits at the northern tip of Panay Island in the Philippines and despite the tourist amenities along the beach, the place reads like romantic fiction. Surrounded by tropical flora, fauna, numerous fish species (including a rare French species called Fabrice), large caves and coral reefs, the 7km x 1km Island is ideal if you’re looking for the best of both worlds. Relax and soak up the sun or enjoy more energetic pursuits such as windsurfing, diving, snorkeling, water skiing and jet skiing (if you must).
The Quest for an Island Paradise Part 4, Siargao – Paradise Found By Tanja Bulatovic - Imagine a place where you can stroll along deserted beaches. Chase butterflies as big as your hands. Drink rum from coconut shells and encounter rock pools packed with fish, crabs and starfish with dancing legs. Imagine nature on steroids. Fantasia come to life in a kingdom where dreams really do come true. I used to think the perfect island paradise was just an ideal - like a phony postcard or mental mirage. I was wrong. The Philippines, otherwise known as ‘The Pearl of the Orient Seas’, delivers the real thing, outweighing anything you could ever imagine.  With more than 7100 spectacular islands to choose from, the hardest part is deciding where to go, which is why I was surprised that the country has very little international tourism to speak of.

Expat Living Without Dis-ease – By Tanja Bulatovic- Health and fear are two sides of the same coin. Considering you’re an Escapeartist reader - at some stage in your life – you’ve probably entertained the thought of moving to the other side of the planet. Though, perhaps some of you have never got past the ‘dream’ phase because of certain, worrisome factors.  The major and most important consideration is always ‘health’.  “What’s the medical system like on the other side of the planet?”  “Will my ‘health’ insurance cover costs?”  “What if I need emergency surgery etc?”  -  For those lucky enough to still have choices regarding their health, there are many options. Numerous health problems can be treated with simple lifestyle changes, a good diet and exercise. Let’s be honest…how many times have you heard this information and skimmed over it because it’s too well trodden? Or perhaps you’ve tried to implement some change but failed to do so on a consistent basis?
