Lakefront
Real Estate in Patagonia - Lakefront
Real Estate in Patagonia - Argentina used to be one of the most
expensive countries, now it is one of the most affordable places to travel
and invest in. The percentage of foreign visitors has at least tripled
compared to last year, and most of them bring along a lot of cash to burn.
Most late model SUV´s from Chile seem to be on the road in Bariloche
and San Martin de los Andes these days. You can tell without even looking
at the license plates, Chileans mostly cruise along the scenic roads at
40 km/hour (20 mph) while Argentines prefer twice that speed. No wonder
Chileans make up 70% of foreign visitors , they live just on the other
side of the Andes. But for the last twelve years, during the Peso-US dollar
peg, most of them could only dream about sunny Argentine Patagonia. Now
they are driving along like sleepwalkers, some are even filming while driving,
and they often extend their stay for as long as possible..

priced starting at € 70,000 but renovation could reach € 30,000
– € 50,000. In the Medieval City of Rhodes and in Lindos a decent
stone house to restore could start at € 100,000. Two bedroom apartments

Living In Monaco - Real Estate In Monaco - Living
In Monaco - Real Estate In Monaco - To gain residency in Monaco you
need to be able to commit yourself to live there for six months a year
(not too difficult a task!) and as well as having a property deed to show
the residency officials a bank certificate from one of Monaco’s banks showing
a deposit has been made is also needed. Many of the banks ask for 400,000
Euros, but for those in the know some will accept 100,000. And the good
news is that you’re free to use that money how you want once residency
is granted, and can be taken out of Monaco without restriction....

Building a Straw Bale House in the Baja -Building
a Straw Bale House in the Baja - I got started with a foundation and
storage building three months on my 80x80 lot after flopping trying to
do the same project in the USA. The lot in Mexico cost $1800 with
septic in, the foundation was $1500, the storage building about $500.
There the project stood for three years while I tried to jump start my
life again. After I remarried I put $6000 together and that was enough
to hire a local Mexican contractor to raise walls, stucco the inside and
outside, and instlall window and door frames. I was less than $10,000 into
the project and was at roof level |

Tunisia ~ The House of the Sea - A luxury real estate for sale
in Hammamet - Tunisia The grounds, covering almost 4,200 square meters,
are a paradise for nature lovers who will discover in the gardens surprising
harmonies and contrasts amongst the numerous plants growing there. The
huge Bougainvillea's create blazing archways in the cool shadows of which
the daturas and the emblematic jasmine perfume the air. These ethereal
scents waft on past the majestic palm trees, cypresses, tamarisks and fig
trees, past the pink and white laurel trees... |

Doug Casey Looks At Mongolia: Local Color - Foreign Color - Placer Gold
- And The Mongolian Stock Exchange - Doug
Casey On Mongolia - With their camel hair batting, yurts are
better insulated than Soviet-era apartments, but still light enough to
be disassembled, packed on a couple of camels, and reassembled within two
hours. They're practical dwellings for the high steppes, which is why the
Ivanhoe camp uses them instead of Quonset huts, or whatever. I spent three
nights in one out on the Gobi, at Ivanhoe's Oyu Tolgoi camp.

Privacy: WARNING: Uncle Sam and Hollywood Want to Root Through Your PC
- Computer
Privacy Update from Mark Nestmann - The Bush Administration announced
initiatives in its "cyber-terrorism" policy unveiled in January 2003. It
includes a plan to require every Internet user to register their identity
with their local Internet Service Provider and to provide a "live feed"
of all Internet activity direct to law enforcement agencies, without a
warrant. To make this possible, the FBI has developed new surveillance
capabilities that aggregate Internet traffic in several key locations to
facilitate eavesdropping. In this way, Hollywood and Big Brother are working
hand-in-hand to terminate your PC privacy!

Make
Money Overseas - Writing eBooks For EscapeArtist.com - Write
eBooks for Profit - What we're looking for are ideas, not Pulitzer
Prize writers. Ideas are what fuel our magazine and our website.
Now we want to expand that concept into eBooks for expats. You don't
have to be a professional writer to submit a report that provides important
information - - information that you yourself have learned by having been
there and done it. That is exactly what our readers are seeking, facts
about living overseas from people who've done it, facts about buying a
barge and sailing down the Danube, what it takes to migrate to Argentina,
how to open a business in Prague, buy an island in Belize, get a job in
Paris, start a farm in Mozambique, run an internet business out of the
Dominican Republic, run a rent-a-scooter shop in Mauritius.

Success
Story Continues! ~ Classified
Ads - Due to popular demand the listings in our Classified Advertisements
Section continues to grow and provide readers with the best way to advertise
on the Internet at the most reasonable prices. Escape From America Magazine
created a low cost way for EscapeArtists to advertise, and for other EscapeArtists
to make contact with their services, products, ideas, real estate and escape
routes. For those of us who've spent hours of discovery peering through
the classified sections of magazines like Mechanics Illustrated and Popular
Science, a classified section is like looking through a collectable store
for those surprises that make the hunt a pleasure as great as the discovery.
