Please read this - this is important, serious and something we have to do something about.  If we don't it'll be the death of the internet as you know it, the internet where you search for what you want but where others determine what you actually see.

The giant US telephone and cable companies (you can guarantee it'll start in America and spread to Europe) are trying to take control of the Internet away from the public.
They're asking US Congress to give them the power to tell you where you can go on the Internet-and what you can do.

Please, join me in standing up for the Internet as we know it. Click here to learn more and to tell America that "It's Our Internet"

Together, we HAVE to ensure that the Internet remains free and open. Please take this seriously ...spread the word
Thank you, Rhiannon

Take it from a PAST prospective buyer of Mexico real estate (looking seriously for the past 14 months but finally had enough B.S. from agents).....Mexico is a minefield waiting for the unsuspecting and uneducated to be stepped on and nobody will be around to help pick up the pieces when things go wrong. It's funny how when buyers state their negative EXPERIENCES (not opinions) as they attempt to buy in Mexico, it's always negated by someone involved within the real industry saying "it's a very small % of buyers that have bad experiences" or the majority of agents in Mex are honest and experienced", etc, etc. I would and can call myself an "expert" on the subject now. ALL 12 out of 12 agents I either spoke to or worked with over the past year continually showed the lowest ethical values I have ever seen. Even taking safeguards as putting good faith money in an American based escrow company, I'm still awaiting (going on 5 months now) the house owner of a deal gone bad to sign off to cancel escrow so I can get my $15,000 back. Agent tells me "The owner's not returning her calls, her hands are tied and that's typical for Mexico!". Gosh, what reasurrance you can get from your "professional" real estate person that promises an "easy transaction" and "solid relationship with the seller". Without needing any licensing, training, financial investment or formal education, I guess I would have been better off having that nice guy I always see selling tamales on the side of the road represent me....he appeared to be making an honest living....

We in this world are so often guilty of prejudgement, assumptions and misunderstandings of peoples and cultures. So it is with Albania. We can conjure up images of thieves and cons and getting shot etc., for I stand guilty of this.

Yet, upon research and photos Albania seems to be, a very beautiful and majestic place.
I remain interested and hopeful that, while allot of Albanians are making their way here to Canada, maybe I should make my way there?

I bought Lan Sluder's book Easy Belize and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about relocating to Belize.  It's got me seriously thinking about Belize.  I was wanting to email him and ask him a few follow up questions but can't find his email address.  Could you send me that?  Thanks.

Galen Kellenberger

You can email Lan Sluder on BZEFIRST@aol.com
