The following websites have been
recommended to us by expatriates living overseas:The
Expat Telegraph -This site is the definitive site
for expats. But it's for BRITS living abroad. You can find
out how to claim your pension abroad, which Medical Insurance to go for,
check on VISA and passport information and changes. Lots of articles/stories
by expats themselves, lots of good financial advice. Good commentaries
by journalists who understand the expat/transpat concept and don't 'knock'
anyone. There are puzzles and blogs, good travel deals. This
site has a great deal more about living in France or Australia than it
does the Caribbean, because that's where the brits have emigrated to.
The blogs are great. There is also a print version which comes as
a tabloid newspaper. But for me, its the perfect example of an expat
site.
BBC
- homepage - Home of the BBC on the Internet - (for international
news as we don't have TV) Being a writer I need to keep current and I find
the BBC the best source of international and regional up to the minute
news. Plus whatever subject I am researching I always find a good
rich source of well written unprejudiced material, and there is no advertising
getting in the way.
Online
Newspapers - I never looked at any expat sites when I moved
to Panama (no computers and internet as we know it now in those times,
only the "Who's New" group in Panama which drove me crazy :-) ) Now I am
only looking at my German newspapers and magazines Online
Newspapers In German which I can't buy anywhere in
Panama, so there is a nice site to find what I am looking for. In Online
Newspapers you can search for any newspaper around
the world actually.
Expat
Shopping - A website that has food products available that
expats (particularly Brits) are likely to miss if they can't get them where
they are now living. Easy to navigate and order from. Shipping
is a little expensive but worth it to satisfy cravings. Keeps my
dad supplied in Baked Beans, Tea Bags and Marmite. Keeps him happy,
keeps my mum happy. |

They have found nothing. We strongly suggest that you do not purchase
nor invest in any such program. There is no Immediate Panama Passport
Program,; citizenship in Panama has to be obtained via a residency process...
