Articles - How To Make Money Overseas As A Writer - You want to live
overseas. You want to live free. You want to be your own boss and
keep your own hours. The question is how do you make a living. The
first answer that comes to mind is writing. At least that is the
first answer that came to my mind. Writing is a good way to make a living
overseas; travel articles, newspaper stringers, stuff for the folks back
home. It takes practice to write, but it can be learned, just as
one learns to tie their shoes, or stand one leg. It isn't an automatic
process, but what is? Now there is an expat writers course that can
show you the basics... next you'll be living in Paris and sitting
in hip cafes... or maybe you'll be in Budapest writing an ebook.

Math - Twenty-two million people live in the city full-time, and another
2 million travel in and out each day for work. On top of this are the tourists.
Busloads and busloads of them, amounting to more than 8 million each year.
The Chinese come in greatest numbers, year-round…mostly, our guide believes,
for the perfumes. On the streets and at the sights, you hear many languages.
This is pre-season, yet the Egyptian Museum was so crowded we had to hold
hands to stay together and bend close in our huddle to hear our guide's
comments over those of all the other guides competing for attention. Evidently,
in peak season, the guides give up. They give overviews out front, telling
their tour-goers what to look for inside, then pull their groups through
the throngs single-file. |

Pride of Africa - When travelling in South Africa, there is a splendid
alternative to travel by plane or by car, which will allow you to experience
the splendor of a bygone era while being pampered for 48 hours. Rovos Rail
has raised the bar of excellence in luxury railway travel, not least due
to the continued passion and dedication of owner and founder Rohan Vos.
We journeyed from Pretoria to Cape Town on The Pride of Africa. |

Ghana Getaway - A visit to Ghana is something you’ll never regret.
Its vibrancy is unforgettable. The streets hum with colour and noise
and the Ghanaians are the most fun loving people on the planet; nobody
can party like they can. They certainly aren’t shy when it comes
to getting down on the dancefloor. However, when they aren’t shaking
their booties, teasing each other naughtily or cackling helplessly with
laughter, they are content to just chill. |

Desert 2: Said's Story - The first time I came to Dahab, I came with
my father. It was 1983, and for me Dahab was nothing less than Heaven.
A palm tree oasis with shining gold sand (this is what Dahab means, 'Gold')…
and the Sea.... back home in the desert, I would close my eyes and see
the amazing colours of the coral reef, and the blue water stretching all
the way to the Saudi Arabian mountains. |
